  14. @Loyaldark Yes. you can hook a fuse box up to the battery then run all you
want off the fuse box or block. you can get them at radio shack.
ALWAYS fuse things close to the battery!

  16. @london1817 oh yea thats a way, thanks .
just to make sure, is it okay if i put more than one load to the battery and use them at the same time?

  18. @london1817 CFL is good too. it’s a workable color and decent efficiency although you have to go through the DC-AC, AC-HV DC steps.
I’d think that 16watt is much more than 50watt incandescent though.
the ones we buy here are about factor 5 but we also use 230V. might matter.

  20. @DanFrederiksen I am using 16 watt CFL’s. They are as bright as a 50 watt bulb.
I like the LEDS better but man are they priced highly!

  22. nice. what kind of bulbs are you using? if you are using incandescent then you can get incomparably more bang for your joule with Cree XP-G LEDs. something like 10x the light for the same power. although you may want to maybe add an orange LED to warm the light as the most efficient lights are cold blueish

  24. @Loyaldark Hook it to the battery with aligator clips. Red to red & black to black.

  36. Do you vent the gases from the battery box through the dryer ????
Ever heard of ESD ElectroStatic Discharge and hydrogen?? Ever heard about the Hindenburg??? Ever heard about why not make sparks around a charging battery??? What insurance company do you use for your house?

  37. OnsiteRepair on Thu, 4th Nov 2010 3:15 am
  38. batteries can produce hydrogen gas, I recommend a separate vent.
